Does Failing AP Exam and failing the class affect my admissions?

So I’m a sophomore going to Junior. Sophomore year was really rough for me. I failed my first semester English with a D and failed my AP Euro Second Semester with a D+. I got C for first semester AP Euro and a C+ for second semester English.

I took 2 AP classes in sophomore year: AP CSP and AP Euro. I got a C in AP CSP both semesters and got a 3 on the AP Exam. As I said before, those are the grades I got for Euro. I got a 2 on the AP exam for Euro.

I have no interest in majoring in a History field. I want to major in Engineering and Robotics.

Failing my AP Euro this bad scares me that I cant get into good college. It isnt that I’m not capable of handling the AP pressure but it is just that I had some Personal problems which brought me down real bad.

Please help!!!

What’s done is done. Focus on working hard your junior year and doing the best you can.

Don’t overload yourself junior year. Just make sure to keep your grades high, since colleges like to see improvement on your transcript. Also, take classes that you actually enjoy!

Also, you can always go to a community college and transfer to another school eventually. Good luck!

You don’t have to report AP scores so just don’t.
Limit yourself to 3 APs Junior year.
But, yes, the Ds will hurt you regardless of major. Engineers have history, English, social science requirements and there expected to find thosebasy to the point of considering them “breaks” from how tough engineering is.
I’d suggest not taking APUSH.
Focus on doing well in a maximum of 2-3 APs Junior year. Perhaps limit yourself to STEM APs. Don’t neglect your other subjects though since English in particular is considered important.
