Does Fiax Lux have to be pass/no pass?

So I'm looking on registrar and I see that for the fiax lux classes the grading is pass/no pass. I had two questions:

Does it absolutely have to be pass/no pass? I personally prefer the letter grade.

If I get a "pass" does that look bad on my transcript? I heard that med/law schools view a "Pass" on a transcript the same way they view a "C", although I don't know if that is actually true or not.

Any thoughts?

Yes.

No. It's just one P/NP unit, they're not going to be all like, oooooh how dare they take a P/NP! Fail.

Just take the damn fiat lux and don't worry about it.

they are pretty easy classes and if they made it grading based its gonna be such a GPA booster!

if you're in the honors program u have to ask the professor to give u a grade for the honors program, so i guess that means they can be

it's just a stupid little one-unit seminar about a random topic. no one cares.
