Is the GPA just looked at for the cumulative number? or does the trend of it matter?

Good question…we don’t look specifically at GPA in making an admission decision. We look at all of the grades for years 9-12. We want to see A’s and B’s and if there is a trend, we want to see it going up.

I am waiting to hear back, and am wondering if Rose Hulman ever asks for 7th Semester Grades, as some other schools do. If so, what are they looking for specifically? An upward trend? Senioritis? Ability to perform well in certain AP classes?

well… just got deferred…

@engineer: yes, they are asking for my 7th semester grades. I’m getting all A’s and B’s, with more A’s than B’s, so I guess that’s fine.

Just fyi…I have seen far more hold for 7s become admits than become denies.

does RHIT give financial aid/scholarships? If so when we do we know it and how much is the amount on the avg.?

i got in

@bystander95014

Absolutely. Almost all scholarship decisions are made in March with financial aid decisions at the same time. Average amount for domestic students was around $12,000 per year. Average amount for international students was around $4,500 per year.
