Does international travel help in college admission?

I've traveled to A LOT of countries around the world, but mostly it was just on family vacations. I was wondering if traveling a lot can help make you seem "worldly" for college admissions, and therefore be a benefit?

No. It’s just likely to make you seem like you’re affluent and privileged. Far more impressive would be to have worked some kind of ordinary job to have helped support your family.

The real question is DID IT make you worldly and wise? You’ve had some wonderful experiences because you’re blessed w/a family who could afford in time and money for some great travel. That’s great – but nothing to be congratulated for.

What did it do for you? If not much – then it will show and will therefore be of no benefit to you when your file is read.

Hopefully you’ve been enriched as a person. The fact that you’ve been lucky to do something maybe 1% of humans do – that won’t be any particular hook.
