Does it help to get 36 on ACT if your gpa is low?

What if my GPA is 2.0 and I get 36 on my ACT?
Will it help…? or will the colleges be suspicious about that?

If I were in admissions, I would think, “Huh, smart kid who is very lazy - no thanks.”

Why are you asking this, since in your other thread you said your ACT score is 23?

It would tell colleges that you were an extremely lazy student who blew off high school. It would be a quick rejection.

And by “suspicious” I assume you mean would the colleges suspect fraud? To go from a 23 to a 36 would likely be highly suspicious.

The previous posters are being pretty considerate and polite.

If I were in admissions, “Hmm… this kid cheated.”

Nothing can make up for a 2.0 GPA. That’s grim.
