Does it look bad to have an open period senior year?

I am not sure if should have an open period or not senior year. I am an honors student and I have been taking honors classes since sophomore year and this year (junior year) I take two honors classes, two AP classes, and two electives. Senior year I will be taking four AP classes and a college prep art class. I am unsure whether I should take another elective or apply to be in ASB or have an open period. The reason I would want my last period to be open is because my school does a year long senior project so I would use the time to work on that, do homework, work on college applications, and study for my AP classes. My problem is I am conflicted on whether or not I should have an open period because I do not want it to affect my chances of getting into the colleges I am applying to.
Some of the colleges I plan to apply to are:
Georgetown
University of Pennsylvania
University of California Los Angeles
do colleges really pay attention to your senior schedule and would having an open period affect my chances of being admitted?

It won’t look amazing (especially to those high-prestige schools), but it won’t be a dealbreaker. Colleges don’t pay too much attention to your senior schedule unless something seems completely off, and it would be worth it, imo, to have the time to work on your project.
