Does it matter what your EC is? Even if it doesn't relate to the undergrad you want?

Because I am applying for general science/life science/health science/kinesiology at various universities in Ontario.

So should I choose extra curricular's that relate to this field or does it matter. For example if I was in cooking club or should I stick to activities like physiotherapy and community care--that's when you help a local food bank, environmental club etc.

Thanks!

I was under the impression that at Canadian universities, only academic record and test scores are considered for admissions - no interviews, no essays, no ECs.

As a general rule, it doesn’t matter if your ECs match your intended major. Lot’s of students have diverse interests. My youngest son majored in bio with a math minor, but his ECs were all in theater and music. He was accepted at some top colleges.
