I didn't really care much about school during freshman/sophmore years so I got a 3.4 GPA from those 2 years. But this year as a junior I'm getting around a 3.8-3.9. So does junior GPA count more than the other years? Especially since the courses I'm taking as a junior are much harder than the freshmen/sophmore courses I took.

It does. And when you demonstrate significant improvement in grades for solid academic courses, all the more so. In addition, your first semester senior year is crucial.

What about second semester senior year compared to 1st semester?

^ Second semester grades aren’t even accessible information when decisions are made.

Is the 3.8 part of your cumulative highschool GPA?
