Yeah A&S seems like the best fit.

Coriander23, do you know the acceptance rate of legacies ED? Just wondering though.

Unaware of the legacy ED acceptance rate, but that number is probably relatively meaningless, depending on the strength of the applicant. Regarding “reasonably strong” RD candidates who are legacies but not admitted, many of those are offered “Guaranteed Transfer” after 1 year of college elsewhere, as long as they maintain a 3.0 GPA (or 3.5 GPA if biology major). The more competitive a major is, the less likely a legacy will be admitted RD (e.g. Biology, AEM, Engineering, Hotel, …).
My daughter was such an applicant several years ago, but was so happy where she had matriculated that she politely rejected Cornell’s offer. This Guaranteed Transfer option assuages some of the hard feelings that an alumnus might otherwise harbor toward Cornell, going forward. It also helps save $ because you can score that good GPA even at a community college (just make sure the credits are transferrable!).

I am a double legacy and I got deferred from the Hotel school in the ED round…ACTs-30 unweighted GPA-3.7 probably (significant upward trend from freshmen to senior year)

I am really hoping to get in RD round, I don’t know if I want to accept a guaranteed transfer because I moved mid-high school and really didn’t enjoy that experience plus I don’t want to miss out on sorority life. I’m crossing my fingers on this one
