Hey! I was wondering if any of you know if Macalester College superscores the ACT. I haven't been able to find any information on their website. I m

Look under the forum for Colleges and Universities and then go to Macalester

At least one site thinks not. http://www.freetestprep.com/blog/resources/list-of-colleges-and-universities-that-superscore-the-act-test/

How about the SAT? Does anyone know if Mac superscores the SAT? The website doesn’t say.

Mac does not use the highest score per section from different testing dates for the SAT I and ACT and come up with one “superscore” for a student. We look at all testing submitted with the application as part of our holistic application review process. We also note improvement in scores over multiple test dates.

The Admissions Committee does not have a preference for one test over the other. Results from SAT II subject tests are not required, but will be considered if submitted.

I hope this helps!

Thanks! Does Mac require the ACT with writing or can you use one without writing if it’s higher? Also, if the ACT and SAT scores are basically the same, is it good to submit both?

Mac does not require the writing portion.

Many students opt to send both tests if they have completed the SAT and ACT but it is not required.
