How heavily do the top consulting firms(McKinsey, Bain, bcg) recruit at the ILR school?
Any input would be appreciated, thanks!

I don’t think McK did on-campus recruiting at Cornell this year. Can’t say about past years.

Big firms do recruiting university-wide (this holds true for consulting and investment banks). An ILR background (augmented with some courses from AEM, perhaps, or Econ, or really just things of that nature that interest you) is perfectly fine. Interviewers might ask about it, but by the time recruiting comes around I’m sure you’ll have a solid explanation for why they should hire you.

From my experience, the ILR-exclusive postings tend to be HR. But, again, that’s not that big of a deal.

a few years back Bain, Deloitte, and Mercer had ILR-only recruitment on top of campus wide recruitment. BCG was only campus-wide. I don’t remember McKinsey, but one of my ILR friends did interview with them.

Thanks for the responses

wait so McKinsey seriously didn’t recruit at Cornell this year? that’s kind of shocking to me…
