does MIT recalculate gpa to get rid of non academic classes?

Because for the last four years i’ve been getting wrecked in theology basically straight B’s theology is even harder than the rest of the classes I take . . .

Will I have a disadvantage because I wasn’t able to get close enough to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ?

First, even with a B in theology, God still loves you.

Second, MIT doesn’t “recalculate” because they don’t have a formula and didn’t calculate to begin with. Science and Math grades tell you something about the applicant, as do non-Science and Math grades. One thing they tell you is how much effort the applicant puts in on things they don’t find immediately interesting and important. That’s a skill that correlates with how well one does at MIT. And life.
