Does MIT still require all standardized test scores to be sent?

A student is considering retaking the SAT subject tests, and states that they were told by admissions that MIT no longer requires all test scores to be sent. Is this true for subject tests? Their website now says

but does not reference the subject tests.

https://mitadmissions.org/apply/firstyear/tests-scores/
“Students are free to use the College Board’s Score Choice option and the ACT’s option to submit the scores of your choice as well.”

@jym626 Applicants have been able to “score choice” Subject Tests for at least as long as I’ve been on this site. And score choice for SAT and ACT is not new; they’ve allowed at least since 2009 I guess MIT did not feel the need to spell it out.

They should know.

Yes, @allyphoe - that’s the section I quoted. Just reconfirming that it also applies to the subject tests.

Your edit cross-posted with me.

@skieurope - the patron who said they were told by admissions sometimes , shall we say… “mishears” things.

Ah, yes. That happens way too often.

and my keyboard autocorrects!! I meant person not patron!
