Does my school affect the admissions process?

I am a senior year student in India and I am planning to apply to universities in the US for my undergrad. I want to know if the school I am studying in will reduce the chance of my admissions to US universities because no one from my school has applied outside India in the history of its existence.

Although my school is a pretty good school in my city, just because its new to the admission officers, will it be a disadvantage?

Your major disadvantage is being from India. Your current school will not impact substantially.

Why is it a disadvantage?

Many colleges cap international percentage. At these schools, international acceptance rates are half the overall rate.

Does anyone know the top feeder schools for US universities from India?

I’ve heard Cathedral and John Connon Mumbai, Jayshree Periwal Jaipur, Shri Ram Aravalli, and International school Bangalore are pretty famous and reputed for it.

Could someone add on and confirm?
