Does no likely letter mean no admission?

I applied to Columbia for bioengineering but I haven't gotten a likely letter. I got one from Cornell a few days ago, but not Columbia. Does this mean I wasn't admitted?

No. Only top 1-5% of applicants ever get LL’s.

Not only does it mean that you are rejected but it also implies that Columbia will send a request to Cornell to rescind the offer they are about to make you.

In other words, your situation doesn’t look bright.

But don’t worry; just start preparing yourself for next year’s round of admissions and start planning your gap year. Everything is going to be fine. Good luck!
