Does Northwestern have a weak computer engineering department?

Hi guys,
I’m currently a junior and searching for colleges.
I live in Illinois and it would be better if I went to Northwestern to study computer engineering.
However, surfing the web, there are numerous articles about Northwestern having a weak computer engineering department.
What are your opinions on Northwestern’s strength in the computer engineering area.

It’s ABET accredited. http://main.abet.org/aps/AccreditedProgramsDetails.aspx?OrganizationID=71&ProgramIDs=1025 For the most part that’s what employers are concerned about.

Many many state colleges have ABET accredited engineering programs. I would not select an expensive private college on the basis of ABET accreditation only (not trying to say that northwestern’s program isn’t good).

I am not even sure MIT’s program is accredited – at least the one in computer science isn’t (because they didn’t bother to go through the process).
