Does northwestern have interdisciplinary study?

<p>I know that Penn has a policy of interdisciplinary study. Does northwestern have this as well? What other schools have this?

<p>What do you mean? NU is a premier institution in cross-disciplinary programs, such as the Kaplan Humanities Institute, the Cognitive Science Program, etc.</p>

<p>Like arbiter said, NU is one of the premier schools in cross-disciplinary programs. It’s not a coincidence that NU is the birthplace of material sciences, a multidisciplinary field. NU also has MMSS and ISP and even though they were created in the 70s, they are still unique these days and are highly regarded by many employers and grad schools.</p>

<p>Also, the quarter system generally allows you to take more courses, making it easier to double-major, add certificates, or even triple-major.</p>
