My school has a a waiver form for people with free or reduced lunch (me included) and there is a form that can get you a waiver at the local state schools. i was wondering if this waiver would be accepted by NYu for either housing or tuition.

anyone know?

I never heard of such a thing. Maybe a waiver for the application fee, but I’ve never heard of a waiver for tuition.

^ my school has one though, is it accepted by nyu? their grad school FAQ says that they do not accept them, but it doesnt say anything about them for undergrad.

the only students who get tuition waivers are legally recognized sons/daughters/dependents of faculty and staff at NYU.

i’m one of them. NYU waives my tuition because my parent is a professor in school of medicine. my tuition is taxed as if it were income and my father pays the tax.

if you were eligible, you would have been notified.

@gan

i doubt they would accept it because the waiver is for a STATE school and NYU is a private institution.

^gotya. thanks. darn it i have to come up with 800 bucks…
