Does one need to have good looks to be in a fraternity?

I want to be in a fraternity when I transfer to a UC either UCLA or UC Berkeley and I am not thin or a model and I was wondering if this is the case.
Any advice?

From person experience, and looking at old photos of my brothers…no.

There may be some that are shallow in that way, but it’s unlikely that it’s all of them.

There was another thread where someone stated that there were only a few good universities here in CA compared to the Midwest.

And now we’re called vein. I’m detecting some anti-CA bias (or jealousy) here on CC. :wink:

Maybe good looks get you into some fraternities but there is a vast difference between one fraternity and another. I’d say that a good personality is much more likely to be the trait that gets one looked at.
