I'll agree with thinkjose. I know that I answered the First Experience one!

Wow, I've never seen somebody say that to Legend... usually everybody is in awe of his skills...

to the "you can get in with ANYTHING" statement:

My 217 was about going through menopause.

So I would agree.

i want to do the one thats least been done... i think most ppl do 217

I guess I am the only one, but I did the essay about a risk I took and why I knew it was the right thing to do.

In response to the cube guy, I have the unofficial world record for speedsolving and blindfold solving :)

whats your time?

holy crap
"My history essay declared the invention of the bread slicer as the most important moment in history ("best thing since sliced bread"... it's gotta be revolutionary)"

i did that, too

and dude. teach me how to do the rubix cube. i have one sitting on my desk.

I'm pretty sure the algorithms to solving it are posted on the internet somewhere.

Hey, where did you guys get the essay topics like "p.217"? Page 217 of what? The UPenn application isn't up yet, right? Thanks.

btw. I can do the rubik's cube too! hehe but it takes me 3 minutes lol. 30 seconds is amazing!

"You have just completed your 300 page autobiography. Please submit page 217."

We got it because we already went through the process. :p I also have old apps floating around, but that prompt I've memorized as its such an awesome prompt.

scagneas: Speedsolving wise I've done it around the 10 second mark, my record blindfolded is like around 45-50 seconds.

how can you do it blindfolded?

You memorize it, close your eyes/blindfold yourself/put it behind your back and solve. The method I use for blindfold solving is more moduluar in nature than the method I use for speedsolving

very impressive

I think the "History" essay will change, since last year it wasn't the "History" essay.

what do you mean the histoy essay? are you talking about the 3 line answer ones?

If I remember correctly I think the history question went alon the lines of "In your opinion, what was the most important moment in history and why?"
You had to answer it in 250 characters..which was tough.but def. doable!

can someone explain what the p.217 autobiography is? It's the first I've heard of this, and I too, would like to get a head start on essays for Penn.

Thanks
