Does Religious Status Affect an Application?

Hi everyone,

I received my test scores from the January SAT II Subject tests today and noticed that my religious status was incorrectly listed as a "Seventh-Day Adventist," which I am not. I must have made an error when bubbling in the correct code for religion on the test :) Will this affect my application? Do colleges even look at the CollegeBoard status for religion? Thanks for your help.

I doubt it will affect anything..maybe you could call CB and see if there's any way to have it corrected if it bothers you though.

No. I highly doubt that has anything to do with your application or processing of scores; I don't even think that gets sent with your score report. I think they use that information solely for statistical purposes, like along with race, income, etc.

why do they have the question? seems kind of odd...

Not unless you apply to a religious-affiliated school. And even then, most of the time it doesn't count for much (except for Boston College. At Brigham Young that LDS designation could get you in!)
