Does selecting and receiving "No Financial Aid" increase chances of admission?

My question is- Does not applying or requesting financial aid increase admission chances? As in- paying in full. I know it's not supposed to.. but I just wanted an answer from the forum population. This applies for all Ivy Leagues.

Nope. Need-blind is just that.

Harvard is the richest university in the world with billions of dollars (over 17 billion)… so i dont think they have a problem with paying a couple students 50000$ tuitions.

I hear that if you are a legacy, then applying for financial aid cancels out the boost you get from being a legacy, but it doesn’t hurt you beyond that. That said, they were happy to foot 50k of my tuition for me and 20% of my class (in total 60% are on some form of aid).

By now, Malcan (or Malcan’s kid) is finishing his or her first semester at college. :)

Financial aid doesn’t hurt you at Harvard because they spend a lot on financial aid, especially on Internationals. Also, they claim to be ‘need-blind’.

Another generous university in the Ivy League is Princeton.

Best of Luck!!!

(Just hit the 5th century :D)
