Does sibling legacy trump FA need?

Does anyone have experience with a sibling being admitted while kiddo A, who is on FA, is still a student?

I know Kiddo B has competitive stats. And I know siblings at this school are numerous. Just concerned that the need for FA will cancel out the benefit of being a sibling applicant.

Looking for comments from people who have had this experience.

In my observation the sibling legacy hook is very very strong. Many of the siblings we know are on FA.

I don’t know if one trumps the other, but in our case Kiddo B was admitted to a HADES school while Kiddo A was still in attendance. Both were strong students with high GPAs, strong SSAT scores, great personalities (so I’m assuming very good rec letters), and average extracurriculars; neither really had a “hook.” They get partial FA.

It was fine for us. The total increased but not two fold.
