<p>Ok guys, stop the fighting.
I know where tom is coming from. I was brought up in a very culturally diverse country where we are REQUIRED to take 5 language courses by law during our highschool years. (Dutch,English,Spanish,French & Papiamentu).
It is very common for people who were brought up in that situation to find it easy to be well versed in many languages, so I don't he was bragging - he might have said it in a pompous way, but I know what he means. </p>
<p>As for the rest of you, come on. This forum is about college advice, not fighting. I just want your opinion on how being multilingual would set me apart from other applicants. </p>
<p>Insane8914, I would mention it in my personal essay one way or another, and it would certainly be mentioned in my teacher recommendations. </p>
<p>I looked over the Penn college app. and they did ask you to check all of the languages you are willing to be or are proficient in, they only had spanish and french so those were the only ones i could add, unfortunately :(</p>

Majoring in International Business and Management or Finance, still haven't figured out the details but I'm a sophomore in highschool so I still have time to figure that out. But international business for SURE</p>
