Does takenote help for AEM220

hey, im failing that class. can anyone tell me if takenote will help me out? cuz pedros slides are utterly useless for his test questions.

just do the extra credit project

um, i still need to do well on the final since i completely bombed a prelim...

Pedro's class is a ****hole

The final wasn't bad; it was mostly questions from the prelims, which were made available online.

I don't think anything other than prayer and luck will help for AEM220 as long as the ****ing idiot Perez is teaching the class. I almost got a D on this prelim..

i did ok going by the average posted on blackboard, but still why is this class so freaking hard?

And how is the mean so high this time?

This class isn't hard, but Perez intentionally makes the tests unfairly difficult. Instead of asking difficult questions, he asks questions that are not based off of the book or the lecture. He can't speak english, so many of his questions don't even make any sense, like the ranking ones on this most recent prelim.

i got a 72/110 with the idiotic curve, which helps people with high grades much more than people with low grades. (ie. 100 x 10 /9 = 111. 10 x 10 /9 = 11)

Jrcho, when I had him all the questions were either from the book or from lecture. The median grade was like a B+ or something, so I doubt the tests could be that "unfair" unless the class has drastically changed within the last year. It wasn't as easy as I thought it would be, since it's an AEM class, but it wasn't bad and there were plenty of opportunities for extra credit. I agree that it's sometimes difficult to decipher Pedro's mangled English, however. If you don't understand the language on the tests, take note probably won't help you succeed in the class.
