I took both SL Psychology and SL History this year. Originally, I planned on taking HL History of the Americas. However, I realized that I find psychology to be a lot more interesting this year and I really enjoy the teacher a great deal more than our history teacher. I was wondering if HL Psychology looks bad to admissions officers essentially? I realize that it's a softer subject than history, but I was just wanting to know if taking the class connotes somewhat of a lack of academic rigor with adcoms, or if I'll be at a marginal disadvantage if I take the class? I know that it's definitely not going to be taken as a joke, but I want to know that taking the class won't result in a bit of weakness in my application with regard to academic rigor..?

I know that it's a holistic process and many things are taken into account, but I just wanted to know if I'll be "fine" taking HL Psych rather than the history option?
