Does the edition of the prep book matter?

I am wondering whether to buy books for SAT/ACT or used ones (different editions). What is your opinion?

If you own only one book it should be the actual tests from previous years (blue book for SAT and red book for ACT). Those books are likely written in if they are used and are only $15-$20 new, so buy these.

Dont skimp on books. They are relatively cheap compared to textbooks or classes and they can really help you study.

I don’t think it matters what edition the books are. the key is to practice, practice, practice. I do agree with mitchcong that the best book for practicing the SATs is the College Board Blue Book.
