Does the free AP score report send all AP scores from previous years or only those from this year?

I’ve heard both from my friends, and I don’t know who to believe.

Each report will include all your AP scores except for “archived” scores, i.e., tests taken more than four years before sending. Be aware that if you want colleges to know your scores for purposes of determining admission, you need not submit official reports but instead can self-report the scores in your application or an essay. The only exception to that is if you are applying to a college, such as NYU, which takes AP scores in lieu of the SAT or ACT for the purpose of determining admission, and if you choose to submit AP scores rather than SAT or ACT scores in that situation, you need to provide official reports. Otherwise, you need to send official reports only after you are admitted to a college and are seeking college credit for the AP courses.
