Does the sparknotes 1000 words help?

Did it raise your score? Did you find that you knew most of the words on the test because of it?
And could someone give me a link to the 1000 word list? I cant seem to find it on their site.

It did help me. Not sure if it will help you.

Dude, memorize it...like I did some the night before for the NOV test, at least 3 HARD SCs had them. So i got like 2-3 more raw points because of it. For the october test, there were a bunch. If I had studied this, I would have gotton 730-740 rather than a 700. Btw, this time I just skimmed night before and thankfully I did not forget the meanings. I don't recommend that. Moral: know em. (most of them, that is).

I owe my 800 in the Oct. SAT (1st sitting) Critical Reading to the SparkNotes Wordlist.

Oh, wow! About how many words did you study per day to get your 800? I'm taking the SAT for the last time in December, so I don't have much time left to study...

lol that seems impossible to study 1000 words in one night

does anyone recommend any other lists before I start studying this one for the Dec test? (my last time too) Only have about 20 days, so preferrably not one much longer than about 1000 words

guys how much did the Sparknotes list helped in the Nov test. Coz I didn't study that and wonder if I made a mistake by not doing it.

very very helpful.........

I kinda left things to the last minute, so I studied 20 new words a day.

I also did the word lists in the Princeton Review's Cracking the New SAT and the Barron's Verbal Workbook (for the old SAT).

I read it for a while, got bored and left two weeks before the exam

Their shortened 250 word list helped me somewhat. Don't know the 1000 list though.

THE 1000 words helped me get a 750 on my first sitting. Nearly every word on the sentence completion was from the list.

how did u study the 1000 word list b/c i don't kno bout u but i have difficulites studding words that start with same word, its hard for me to memorize 20 wrods thats start with ab.... and such. plz help
