I want to start it now, but I don't want the essays to change.

There is no reason to start it now. Calm down, relax, and enjoy the end of your junior year. There is no need to start this early. Absolutely no need. If anything (since you are clearly motivated to work on something), start reading sample essays and essays that have been successful (I’m sure there are books, or an internet site, or somewhere) so you can get a feel for what works and what doesn’t.

Honestly, though, your time is better spent studying for classes, the SAT/ACT if you plan to take it next year, investing time into interesting extracurriculars that excite you, spending time with your friends and family.

Okay. I would still like to know, though. I will follow your advice.

Haha. I’m pretty sure I posted this exact thread last year. Yes, it does change. You could write some general college essays if you’re really anxious, but I wouldn’t if I were you. Do more important things right now. You’ll get the essay prompts this summer.

How about the common app?

Commonapp ones remain the same. In any case there will always be a ‘topic of your choice’ option

While the CommonApp may be the same, the Princeton supplement (including essays) changes.
