i go to pretty compeititve public school and although i was told this but a kid or two, i find it hard to believe that my 800 on writing will actually not make ANY difference in my admission to business schools. Like binghamton, maryland, univesity of chicago...

REALLY?? its soooo annoying-how can that make sense????? no difference AT ALL????

can someone who knows what theyre talking about plz help me clear this up

There are many colleges that do not use the writing section for admission and the ones you name are among them. And that means it is not used at all. Also, UChicago has no undergraduate business school.

Look at the colleges’ website if you have not visited them. The website should say what they look at (admissions). Another place to look is on the common data set for that college, lastly at the info sessions when you visit a college they tell you that information. I’d say it is 50-50 at this point whether they use writing. Not sure though.

i cant trust the collegewebsite, b/c binghamton acc to website counts writing, but acc to what you all and everyone is telling me, they dont even look at it.

To give yourself the more options when applying, writing should be taken. I was in a Kaplan college prep orientation, this was what they recommended too. No one wants to prepare anything extra, but that is what it takes to get to your dream school.

anyone else know anything about the writing section of sat? for binghamton, maryland, rutgers, is it viewed as an sat2, or nothing, or is it a hook , or more than that? or hopefully an actual sat section ??
