Does they year you take an AP exam matter?

I was wondering if I don't get straight 5's on AP exams, if it's wise to take it again if I feel I know the subject matter better. For example, with Spanish I'm in an immersion program now and an not expecting a score better than 4 if I get lucky. Should I retake it as a junior if I plan to send my AP score report as a supplement (?) to some of the colleges? I think this is a good idea, because my school has a grade deflation problem and I'm taking a lot of AP classes. So I thought it would be a good idea to show top colleges (HYPS and Columbia!) that I do have a mastery in the material despite my sub par grade in the class. I'm taking a lot of AP exams so it's not like I'm sending them 4 or 5 exams only.

Thanks in advance (:

On ones like Spanish, yes, I’ve heard of people taking it again. Some people at my school will do that too.

Thanks iluvpiano! Spanish was hard for me since I self studied it and I’m not a native speaker. Do you know how colleges feel about the year students take AP exams (especially when the scores are cancelled from your score report?)

I don’t know how individual colleges feel about it. Sorry, maybe they’ll be someone else that can answer that!

Haha Mmmkay (: I’m just wondering if colleges will think its weird that I took ap Chem as a sophomore but the score they’re seeing is me taking the exam as a junior?
