<p>you could write it as the common app essay, but that is really your decision. only you know what would be the best option to write about on the common app for you. this could definitely be an excellent one, but maybe there are betters? I don’t know you reaal, so I can’t say. but you should DEFINITELY mention it on your app., regardless of whether it goes in any of your essays </p>

<p>Where are you getting the idea about not writing about it in your essays? I think that’s exactly what people here were suggesting you should do. For the commonapp you can <em>VERY</em> briefly describe the activity. You also put hours/wk and wks/yr, whether you plan to continue the activity in college, and any positions/honors/awards in the activity. That’s pretty much it, unless you either a) write about the activity in the required 150 word essay on one extracurricular b) write about it as your main CommonApp essay or c) write about it on supplements, given there the space for it. I would recommend b.</p>
