Same question for me.

Band class gives credit for me so I dont know…

Like, a rock band? Not that the genre of music matters. I’d definitely put that down as an EC!

I wish I were in a band :(

It’s not that hard to start one^ find a couple of friends who are interested in the same genre of music as you and just start practicing; and you can perform for free for example for animal shelter fundraisers

I only have an acoustic guitar. Lol. Everyone else has an electric one. My parents refuse to buy me an electric.

If it’s not a class, it’s definitely fair game. If it’s a class, but you’ve done extra stuff beyond school with it because it’s one of your interests, it’s still fair game. If it’s a class and all you’ve done is the class, it’s a bit of a stretch.

That said, unless you’ve done something somewhat major (e.g. performed some real gigs, published music, etc.) with a band that’s not affiliated with school, it’s not going to have much of an impact.

For music applicants, anything music-related will automatically be a touch more important, though :).

^ true and it’s not really that I’m trying to make an impact on my app more like letting them know who I am and my interests.

@mrlaurencen
Just buy one yourself lol; I did
Edit… Who said there aren’t acoustic guitars in bands…
