According to the UCLA app site, I'm pending, but I just got this in my email from Financial Aid:

*Dear New Bruin

Congratulations on being admitted to UCLA!!! The Financial Aid Office
has received your FAFSA application and prepared an electronic
Provisional Award Letter (ePAL) estimating your financial aid eligibility for the upcoming academic year. *

I guess I am partially celebrating? What do you guys think? Does this mean I am in?

Im really kind of excited that theyre not putting me through the crap they did last year (making people wait until...like..mid-may). Hope that them getting them out this early means EVERYONE will find out soon enouh (i know 50% are on a rolling...but hopefully the rolling wont be too spread out this year)

Thanks Danzzz...I tell ya man, the wait has been exhausting.

Major: Philosophy/Pre-Med
Units: 75.5 units so far, 90.5 by the end of spring
GPA: 4.0
No TAP or TAA...just raw brain power!!! Yeah, riiiight. ;)

I just got the email too about an hour ago. Have any of you tried to access your financial aaid letter though? I just tried and couldn't because I wasn't able to create a pin since the pin is for "newly admitted undergraduates only"

I received the same email and, needless to say, was pleasantly surprised (extremely shocked is more like it). To be honest, I was not expecting to get in and still feel like the email was an oversight/mistake on their part. The reason why is because I am under-qualified as it is and applied just for the "anything can happen but realistically, dont get your hopes up" feeling. I hope that it wasn't a mistake and that I actually did get in but I am holding out until the I am officially accepted through the website/letter before I start celebrating. Here are my stats below; judge for yourself:

3.4 gpa
around 90 sem units (3rd year transfer)
english major
Asian-american

Sorry if I am being a downer but I just feel like they are teasing me at this moment =(
