hi i was wondering if this summer program would look good on college apps. well i live in oklahoma in a rural area so i dont have alot of access to summer programs at schools such as the ivvy league. but if i still want to participate in a summer program does it count if i visit my grandmother every tuesday and thursday in the summer and read stories to her? would this look good to colleges seeing as i dont have the same oppurtunities as other people do on this site???? thank u!!!1

It is a good thing for you to do, period. But things we do for our families aren’t usually stuff that goes on college apps (except in essays, sometimes). You still should visit to your grandma and read to her, though.

That’s really sweet of you to do. It doesn’t count as a summer program though, but it’s a potential essay topic.
