Does UBC care about the letter grades on the transcript for IB students for senior year?

The official website of UBC only shows what IB grade IB students should maintain, but it doesn’t show anything about letter grade for IB students. The problem I’m having is that I’m able to maintain my 5 for IB HL maths (according to my mock exam result), but I got a F for this class. UBC also mentioned that my final transcript should be sent to the admission office once available, therefore although UBC doesn’t show anything about what letter grades for IB students to maintain, I’m worrying about if they will revoke my admission.

You can be admitted based on regular grades or (exclusive) IB. The same should apply for final grades. You should be getting 2 diplomas from 2 different bodies… Call admissions and ask them if only IB transcript is adequate; it should be. If you applied with IB predicted scores, it should fly.

Your school grading policies SUCK if you can achieve a 5 in IB (that UBC translates to a mid to upper 80s) but they can only give you an F. Unfortunately, many schools create these problems for their IB students.

Thanks a lot! I will double check with my counselor!
