<p>I know for specific majors like engineering and certain health/medicine type majors they do have a specific admission officer look at them, but for everyone else does it matter because I know they need students for all majors. (I plan on being a hospitality major!)</p>
<p>If you are coming in as a freshman student, it doesn’t make any difference what major you put down. Anyone can put any major and then change their major once they are admitted, and they know that … so it doesn’t make a difference. </p>
<p>If you’re going to major in hospitality wouldn’t UCF be a better option than UF for that major at least. It’s one of the top school’s for that specific major. I know UF is an overall better school, but if you are seriously considering hospitality as your major I strongly suggest you apply to UCF (if you haven’t already).</p>
