Does UIUC care about disciplinary records?

<p>Hi, I am a community college student who wants to transfer into UIUC compsci next spring. Unfortunately, I made some mistakes at a previous university which resulted in a disciplinary record. However, I noted that the UIUC transfer application does not have any indication of disclosure. The disciplinary record will most likely be on my transcript (as UIUC asks for ALL previous post-secondary transcripts) but I am hopeful that this lack of disclosure indicates that the university does not care/will not check for past mistakes. Am I being too optimistic in assuming this? Does anyone have any experience related to my inquiry?</p>

<p>I know that my high school friend was able to get into DGS with one instance of being suspended for a day (for fighting). I don’t really know any other advice than that to be honest. Though, if you can write about it in a way that you say how you have learned from it, do that.</p>
