Does UNCW send out acceptation letters earlier then denial ?

I applied to uncw with early action and so did a friend he got his letter back last Saturday and i emailed the college they said i should hear back this week. I was wondering if they send out acceptation letters first ? I had a 1550 sat and a 3.3 GPA ?

There’s no order, rhyme, or reason. Even though I applied on August 7th, I didn’t get my acceptance letter until January 12th.
