Does undergrad matter for getting into med school?

Is the undergraduate school you go to a big factor in whether you will get into med school or not? I know there's a big difference between Harvard and a state school, but I'm not talking that big of a difference. Like I'm choosing between UCSB and UCSD, would going to SD over SB increase my chances of getting into med school, or is the difference between them not too big that it will affect anything?

The most crucial elements at Med School is GPA, MCAT scores and your ability to pay.

Much more so than the “prestige” differences of able schools. Which school will you most thrive? Choose that one.

There are plenty of threads that can answer this for you on here already, but the above post pretty much sums it up. Go to a cheap school you’ll like even if it isn’t “prestigious”.
