I think I saw a post somewhere here where one person was able to sit in on a computer science course for explore usc but i cant find the post anymore. Does anyone know if you can visit usc and sit in on classes?
Yes, I definitely know this happens. Back when I was taking CSCI 103, I remember a father and son that sat in on a lecture about robotics. I actually believe the professor knew there were guests during the lecture and tried to make things more interesting than usual, haha. I know this happened during some of my other courses as well. I wish I knew where to find the resources/info on this, but you can definitely check out some classes. It may likely only be certain ones though/lecture times.
Yes. We attended Explore USC earlier this week. There were 15 classes that were available to sit in on. There was a good variety - Poli Sci, Biology, Philosophy, Architecture, International Relations, and a few others. Classes were generally 1hr 20 min. The only thing is, it is during the same time as bus tours and campus tours and financial aid sessions. So, you may not be able to fit it all in. In my case, since my S1 already did a campus tour but I did not, he wanted to visit a class while I went on a tour.
To be honest, some classes are so big that you could sit in and the professor wouldn’t even notice. Wouldn’t do that as a group though.
^^ This. You can check the schedule of classes to see how big each class is.
