Our son will have his VV class at Crawford House. Does that mean he will be living at Crawford?

Also, is there some way that the school induces students to attend the VV meetings? If not, I would think attendance would be pretty low by the end of the semester.

No, it does not meet in your dorm. Just any available room on Commons, or wherever else the VUCeptor wants to meet.

The secret to finding out your dorm assignment early is checking your billing statement, which names the dorm you’re paying for. Vanderbilt usually sends the freshman bill in early July but apparently it is being delayed now, perhaps until August 1, and perhaps because they realized this was ruining the surprise!

They make some vague threat about attendance but I don’t know if they have ever followed through. Really its the student’s loss if they choose to skip them. They’re usually entertaining and lots of people form long-lasting friendships with people in their group and their VUCeptor.
