Does visiting a college for an information session/tour have some impact?

Hi I’m a rising senior and I have some questions about college campus visits.
I have two schools that I set as “high reaches” and I visited both of them during my junior year.
One of them is U-Michigan and I’m planning to do EA for this school.
Would visiting its campus for an info session and tour after Nov. 1 EA due date have any impact on my application at all?

I just want to let the school know how much interest I have in attending?

Thank you

For UMich, the level of an applicant’s interest is considered in the admissions process. My recommendation would be to contact the admissions office and see if visiting after the EA date would still reflect interest in their eyes (I can’t imagine why it wouldn’t.)

Interest doesn’t have a massive impact on your application, but it can be just another helpful boost.

Interest definitely is an important part of the admissions process. I’m not sure that you attending an info session would be recorded with your admissions file, however when you send in your application there should be a place to indicate how you have learned about the school, whether or not you have visited, went to info sesions, etc. I would check out the application soon and see what it has to say. Like I said, attending after you send your application might be advantageous in deciding if this is where you want to go, but I don’t think that would be considered alongside the application you will submit. Just make sure you DEMONSTRATE your interest in your application! Best of luck!
