Hey whats up everyone? Im doing a quick poll for class and need your help. A couple of quick questions.

When you research anything from the numbered list bellow -

Whats your go place/forum/search engine?
How quickly do you find what you need?
Are you satisfied with what you are finding?
Would like any type of improvements to be made to your "go to" place

Topics or areas:
1. Finding info about a college
2. Study material
3. Degrees
4. Financial aid

Thanks for your help

I can answer just 1 and 2 since I just started looking at colleges in the summer:

Place/forum/search engine:
- Google -> college websites, college confidential occasionally
- Library: AP/SAT prep books (usually Princeton Review, I like their style), mathsisfun.com (math), google, khanacademy (videos seem so slow so I usually don’t use it)

Speed:
- Not bad: most websites are pretty much the same, depends: it’s a forum and for me forums = not always accurate
- Usually pretty easily since I kind of have my favorite sites and don’t change much

Satisfaction:
- Websites = good, college confidential = whatever I expected from a forum: some really, really good information and some irrelevant/inaccurate stuff
- Okay, I don’t trust everything on the internet but I haven’t had too much problem either

Improvements:
- A lot of websites have consolidated data but you have to subscribe or pay…it’s annoying but I get the point. I do wish it was a bit easier to find information about homeschoolers applying to college but that doesn’t apply to most people.
- Not really, I usually make my own study material in the end because I helps me to learn it, and I search only when I have a specific question.

I hope that helps, and I’m sorry I couldn’t answer the last two!
