Will doing the sat math part in the blue book again increase my score? I certainly don't remember everything, but i just want to do the math in the bb, because i wanna review my answers through khanacademy...

can anyone answer this?
i need to know to

lala

hmm… u should try real sats… or if u want a challenge, try barrons. Always go back to ur mistakes and try to learn from them. u will gain more if u learn the mistakes of one test than solving 5 tests without reviewing them… whats ur score btw?

@alyshehata my highest ever in math was a 595…never reached a 600 yet, but ive pushing for 650s in dec. reviewing like crazy. any tips?

how can you have a --5 in math? the SAT does not have the units digit as a nonzero number.

Reviewing like crazy doesn’t really work. You actually need to be motivated to improve your score – not wasting your time by taking lots of practice tests.

Going over prior tests can a good idea, however. You can see, with a fresh perspective, on what you might have missed prior.

@SakataGintoki my raw score was like a 37.5, i don’t know if i should have rounded it off, but a 595 sounds exact. @cjgone alright thanks, and yes im very motivated, spent 4 hours today on math, no practice test, just went over confusing questions. and does taking practice test really waste time? how often should i use my time taking a practice test and how often…reviewing?

37.5 rounds up to a 38.

I would study by doing practice tests and then carefully reviewing how to do each problem that you couldn’t do

@amigos Grats, that’s a 600. You’re out from 500’s. Also, when you solve the questions in maths, do you have a lot of time left? If you do, then you should probably slow down and adjust your pace so that ~1 minute remains after you complete every section. Doing so will cut down on careless mistakes and will give you further improvement. Hope I helped.

@RAlec114 thanks! would you reccommend spending like 15mins reviewing a question trying to figure out how this solution came to be, or would you just use an answer explanation book, and try to understand it for there?

@SakataGintoki haha yep i guess i did, only once tho…since then its been 550s, Usually when i solve questions i make it up to the hard questions, but just go blank once i read the question, either leaving it blank or getting it wrong…But when i look at the answer explantion i get that ****ed at yourself moment, because i knew the concept but didn’t know how to use it for that question…hard to explain. I also make careless errors on the Medium diffulculty questions…I’ve been trying to review, and im actually starting to recognize the math section, like once i read the question…i know exactly what to do, but with most concepts i have to read the question over and over again to know exactly what to do, wasting a lot of time…Have any suggestions?
