Hello,
Is doing research that’s unrelated to your major be helpful?
I’m planning on switching to chemistry major and at my school, there’s a lot more research opportunities/extracurricular activities on environmental science than for chemistry. Will it be beneficial in regards to grad school or employment?
Any research is useful experience. Graduate programs don’t really care what the area is usually.
All research experience is useful. Environmental science and chemistry are similiar. However, if you get the chance to get chemistry experience, definitely take it.
