I'm trying to decide between BU and Northeastern. As of right now- and this is subject to change- I want to try to transfer to MIT after a year at NEU/BU. I want to go in expecting this so I can do whatever I can to build a stronger transfer application, but if I end up loving NEU/BU, I will stay. I'm a physics/biology major wherever I go and the only thing I wasn't too sure about with Northeastern is its research opportunities while not doing a co-op. I want to get involved in a lab as soon as humanly possible wherever I go. If I want to transfer, I only have one year and I cannot wait for a co-op to do research. So I guess my question would be is it easy/possible to get a research position while not doing a co-op and as a freshman? And how does undergraduate research at BU compare to Northeastern?
