I self studied it and crammed all the info into the week before the exam...I ate the essays into bits and got about 8-10 wrong on the MC [I'm assuming all my guesses are wrong, being a pessimistic dolt], so hopefully a 4 or a 5.

me too, futurelawyer. I think i got like 5-10 wrong MC and left like 9 blank and i nailed the essays except for number 3, i got like half of that one wrong. I definitely got at least a 3 probably a 4 hopefully a 5.

mike10003, my microeconomics (;)) teacher sucks and I'm probably going to fail the ap microeconomics exam unless I reteach everything to myself...I am in need of desperate help...lol

whats the name of the chatroom?

Was anyone else's essay really really short?

I'm suprised those essay questions were so easy (except for part of question #3). My longest essay was the last one...

MC
Total MC ?'s correct (out of 60) - .25(number incorrect)=final mc

FR
4 questions, roughly 9 pts each.
points out of 36 x 1.6666 = final fr

final mc(total of 60) + final fr(total of 60)

86-120 is a 5
70-85 is a 4
46-69 is a 3
below... well thats bad.

I got like a 4.

One down, five to go.

based on that scale, and given the fact I don't get any points on one of the FRQs (unlikely, but good estimate to compensate for lost points in the others) would be 27 (45 points), I would only need 41 from the multiple choice, I answered every question, and lets just say I get 15 wrong (60-15=45-(.25*15)=41.25+45=86.25 = 5.

I agree. I'm sure that if you paid attention at all in class and just browse through these forums to review, you probably did pretty well on the test. Go CC!

Now that I've thought it over, that rubric is antiquated. It has a possible total of 36 (on the FRQ's) points earned, while the official practice exam audit only has a possible total of 18 points earned (on the FRQ's)...

RChris, how do you get that +45 to get 86.25? Don't the essays make a total of 36?

is it really that easy to get a 5? i think i got no more than 9 MC wrong, and got at least a 6 on all the essay questions... so i guess i got a 5, right?

I'm having good vibes but just a piece of advice: don't count your chickens before they hatch...or don't count your 5's before July 3rd.

^ Exactly what I was thinking. Many of the people I took the exam with found much of the MC easy because of the strict definition questions and such. If we all found it easy, there is a great possibility that the scale with be a bit more tough.
Personally, I now am oficially enamored with CC. I had never even thought about ques. 3 on the FRQ, but while going through one of the discussion boards yesterday afternoon, I randomly skimmed it. Thank goodness too! That person was spot on in asking that question, and I laughed out loud when I saw it.
I hope I didn't miss too many, but a few of the MC questions did have confusing wording.

that review chat did help.. thats where i learned all of my stuff

pwnies, take the 27 and multiply it by 1.66666666666 (5/3) it is part of the formula to calculate the final grade. The formula changes slightly each exam based on what statistics show (standard deviation, means, bell curve, etc..) (haha I got a 4 on my stats exam last year).

lopo, according to that posted formula, 88.75 would fall in the range of a 5, if you answered all of the multiple choice.

Honestly, a 3 would be fine for me as the University of Florida doesn't care if its a 3, 4 or 5 for this subject:

Office of the University Registrar

and yes, I started to fall asleep when I was reading the economics section of my princeton review, but I think I did okay with FRQ #3.

The strict definitions came as a surprise to me and I started laughing as I was gaining momentum on the multiple choice...I was on question 40 only 15 minutes into the exam!

^ Same here (the laughing)! Everyone thought I was going insane, and when I saw another easier question, I wrote "I love Collegeboard" across the page.

moi :P

I think question 3 was super easy for me because I am good at econ. and luckily fiscal/monetary policy was a topic I specifically remember reviewing a few days ago...
