Don't have my SSID

Unfortunately, I didn't realize that I would have to go to my high school to find my California SSID number. My HS is closed for thanksgiving and won't reopen until after Nov 30th. I know that the UC and CSU apps specify that the ssid is optional, not mandatory, but I'm still concerned. Will not including the ssid hurt my chances of admission at any of the UCs or CSUs?

Is there any way that I can get my ssid next week after I've submitted my apps and then contact the schools to which I've applied so that they can update my app with this info, or would it not be worth the trouble?

Thank you in advance.

Leave it blank i went to a UC app workshop with a UCLA rep n CSU app workshop with a CSULA rep both said it doesnt matter.

When you are on that page on the UC application look at the right side of the page in the “Questions?” section. One of the questions is “What is the CA SSID?” when you click on that it says:

“Every K-12 student in California public schools is assigned a statewide ID number. The unique 10-digit number enables the state Department of Education to comply with federal data-reporting requirements as students progress from year to year and school to school. Providing this number is optional.”
